Greetings! I’m an assistant professor of political science (CV) at Gettysburg College. I received my Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina in 2016. I research the political consequences of discrimination and violence, and I focus on topics of gender and sexuality in Europe. My research intersects Comparative Politics and International Relations by examining how state institutions and international institutions affect political behavior and attitudes across societies. My articles are published or forthcoming in the American Political Science Review, Social Forces, Journal of Conflict Resolution (twice), European Journal of Political Research, Public Opinion Quarterly, International Journal of Public Opinion Research, Political Research Quarterly, Political Behavior (twice), Electoral Studies, Political Psychology, the Journal of Common Market Studies, Political Studies Review, the Journal of European Integration, and Politics, Groups, & Identities. I teach courses regarding comparative politics, international relations, European politics, political science research methods (in the computer lab, above, for example), sexuality politics, and American politics. In my free time, I’m an avid runner, and I enjoy running on the many paths in Gettysburg’s national park!
